This ranch home faced challenges with its compartmentalized layout, prompting a need for change. Our goal was to revitalize the core living spaces—the dining area and kitchen—by adopting an open concept with a lofted ceiling. This choice not only facilitated a smoother flow between areas but also provided picturesque views of the backyard and front porch. To add a touch of Southern charm, we painted the front porch ceiling in a light blue hue and gave the exterior a makeover with new siding and a fresh coat of white paint. The den was enhanced with practical yet elegant built-in shelving around the fireplace.  The front expansion was a carefully planned effort to redefine the primary bedroom suite and create a more seamless layout. Upstairs, we divided the existing shared bathroom into two to better serve the three bedrooms. The screened porch’s makeover creates a relaxed atmosphere with expansive backyard views, marking a shift to a home that seamlessly integrates modern functionality and enduring charm.
